I am Rev. Joel B. pal, son of late
Nirapodo Pal. I had married to Aruna pal on 9th December 1991, we
have two sons. Our elder son Anup pal is 22 years old. He has passed his Higher
Secondary Certificate on 2013. Our younger son Apu pal is 19 years old. He is a
honors 1st year’s student of honors level. I grew up in a Hindu family.
I was born in village- Chuknagor,
District- Khulna, Bangladesh. My date of birth is 19th August 1968.
Chuknagor is a large Hindu village with 6000 Hindu people. I grew up in this
Hindu community. I learned about the Hindu culture. My grandfather was a Hindu
saint. He encouraged me read Hindu religious book Bhagavad-Gita.
On 1984 I pass Secondary School
Certificate (S.S.C.) exam. One of my class mates was from lower class family.
Nobody wants to be his friend. I meet him after one years of our SSC exam. I
was surprised to a lot of change in his life. He informed me that he has
received the eternal peace. He told me about the Good news of The LORD Jesus
Christ. He gave me the Holy BIBLE to read. I was very happy to have the Bible. I
am being to read it. When I read Roman 6:23 I was so confused. Then I asked my
friend to explain me about it. He introduces me with their church Pastor. This
Pastor gives me answer and teaches me from the Bible. His teaching has touched
my heart. I understood that no one could save me but I can be saved by the name
of Jesus. I made confesses. I have prayed with tears. I have surrendered my
life to the Lord and accepted Jesus Christ as my savior. The Lord has blessed
me. He has saved me from my sin.
In 1986, I gave my first testimony in
B.F.B.C. Church. I was baptized in 15th June, 1986 and became a
member of Bangladesh Free Baptist Church. In 1987, I have completed my bachelor
of Bible seminar from the Dhaka Bible College (DBC). Then I have completed
training and course of Gloria Bible Training, Christian college Theology, and
Diploma of Christian Ministry. I have joined the BFBC as an evangelist in 1988.
I worked there for 8 years. In 1997-2009, I Work Talitha kumi Church as a
Pastor. Then 2010-2011 I work in search of peace as a training coordinator. It
was a Billi-graham Program. In August 2011, I was served the Lord as a pastor
of Memorial Christian Baptist Church. And now Presently I serve Christian
family development in Bangladesh (C.F.D.B.). & also I continue a ministry
which is Ephphatha Evangelical Church (E.E.C.).
When I became a Christian the orthodox
Hindu gave presser to my parents. My Father didn’t allow me to live with him.
Even he didn’t pay my college fees. The pastor helped me about this and
encouraged me to trust in the Lord.
He teaches me to pray. Now I know that, I have a place to live. I will live
with the Lord Jesus Christ forever. Jesus
said: “Take courage; I have overcome the World” (John 16: 33). This verse
always encourages me to serve the Lord who overcomes the world. Then I have
committed to work for him who has saved me and selected me serve Him. I
realized that GOD wants me to do a great work for Him. So, God has given me an
opportunity to precede his ministry through Ephphatha evangelical church as a
Director.
I understand that I am no longer “under law” but united
with GOD in Christ Jesus. Roman 8: 1,
“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus”. This
is the best peaceful part and future benefits that I received as a guarantee
from Lord. I believe that GOD has a special purpose in my life. He wants me to
serve him through the Church and make new leaders to work for him. So, I want
to be a holy and pleasing sacrifice to the lord. Some verses encourage me most
are Nehemiah 8:10; 1 Thessalonians 2:19-20; Philippians 4:4-7, 12-13.
